A brief overview of the procedures with some details specific to our programme is provided below.

Although formally the deadlines are loose, we suggest to complete all the procedures as soon as possible. Until you are officially enrolled (paid tuition fees), you will not be able to win scholarships and student dorms, or get the student card (to benefit various discounts), the canteen card (to use university canteens), etc.
IMPORTANT: Pre-selection process for the academic year 2025-2026 is now closed. The new intake, valid for the 2026/2027 academic year, will open at the end of November 2025. It is highly recommended to submit the admission applications for Academic year 2026-2027 as soon as the procedure will open. In fact, the acceptance procedure for non-EU applicants takes several months because of the time needed to get the study visa.
Application procedure (2026-2027)
Non-EU candidates: November 2025 - June 2026 EU candidates: November 2025 - September 2026
Complete the pre-selection application. The applications submitted by February will be evaluated in February. After that, applications will be evaluated within two weeks from the submission date. If evaluated positively, you will receive the Pre-Acceptance letter, meaning that you are eligible for admission and pre-accepted to our Master's programme.
If you still have to graduate you can submit application without a bachelor degree and attach it later, even after the deadline has passed. Your application will be evaluated once you obtain the degree and enclose it to your appplication.
If you are in doubt whether or not to apply because you are not sure if you are eligible, we suggest you to complete the pre-selection application and know for sure - it is free of charge and does not require big effort from your side. We do not evaluate any application/documentation received by e-mail, it must be submitted on-line.
Important information on the pre-selection application:
- Uploaded documents must be in English or Italian.
- Applications lacking any of the required documents will not be evaluated.
- Applications containing non-valid documents will not be evaluated.
- Recommendation letters should be in English or Italian. Letters in Spanish will also be accepted.
- Once completed, make sure to save and submit your application.
Pre-enrollment procedure (2026 - 2027) (only for non-EU candidates residing abroad)
April - July 2026
With the Pre-Acceptance letter you received, you can proceed with the pre-enrollment at the Italian Embassy/Consulate in your country of residence.

- Apply for a study visa on www.universitaly.it (Non-EU Students only).
- Beware of embassy deadlines - some of them may set their specific deadlines to be able to process all pre-enrollments on time.
- We do not send any other letter - the Pre-Acceptance letter is enough for visa purposes.
Enrollment procedure (2025 - 2026)
July - December 2025
Register on the Infostud system. Generate a payment slip for the Admission requisites verification procedure (Verifica dei requisiti), with a payment of a 10 EUR fee (on-line procedure available). Within 10 days from the payment, you will receive the confirmation e-mail for the successful procedure completion. If you have any problems with the Tax Code (Codice Fiscale) generation, you can send an e-mail to the Hello office (hello@uniroma1.it). Required information are your surname, first name, date of birth and country of birth. ; (only for candidates with an international academic title). After receiving the confirmation e-mail, you can deliver original documentation – all the certified copies of the documents listed on the International Student Office page to the International Students Admission office (Segreteria studenti con titolo straniero). The address is:
